Mariano Calleja Estellés graduated in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1998 and specialised in contentious-administrative procedural practice in 2000. He is currently a partner of Winkels Lawyers and coordinator of the Municipal Service of Legal Orientation for Foreigners of the Illustrious Bar Association of Madrid and for cases of racism, xenophobia, transphobia and homophobia. He is also the legal coordinator of the legal services of ANZADEIA, an association dedicated to assisting victims of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
Previously, Calleja worked as a lawyer for ICAM’s immigration legal advice service from 2004 to 2008. In 2005, he also worked as legal coordinator of RED ACOGE, Federation of Immigrant Associations.
Because of his extensive professional experience, Mariano Calleja Estellés has taught, directed and coordinated numerous courses in bodies such as Madrid City Council and ICAM, related to the practice of law, as well as matters such as discrimination and immigration, among others.
